About

The staff at Eden School of Dance is proud to serve our community of dancers for the past 39 years. Its been said, "To Teach Is To Touch someones Life Forever". A teachers greatest joy is to watch her students grow from young children to successful productive adults. All of our students over the years in so many ways have made us proud! Some of our alumni have gone on to do great things, such as being accepted into ballet companies, theater & Broadway productions, as well as members of NFL & NBA dance teams. We also have had students that used their dance education and the discipline learned to advance their careers in business and in the classroom as teachers. Our goal here is to instill the love of dance, and appreciation for the arts. Because we care about every student that attends, we want our influence to be a respectful one so that their love of dance will last them a lifetime. For most of our students, our school is a home away from home. Though they may walk through our studio doors as strangers they leave as members of our extended family. The staff of Eden School of Dance invites you and your child to become part of the Eden Dance Family, an experience to last a lifetime. Eden School of Dance offers many forms of dance with classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels:
Creative combo classes specially designed for preschoolers
Ballet, Pointe, Modern Jazz (adults too),
Tap,Hip-hop, Tumbling
Call us today or find out when we have open house for enrollment.

It’s important to remember that your child may not always pick up on what we’re trying to teach them to do right away during a class. While it can be difficult to watch your child work through their frustration, there’s always a payoff once they overcome their challenges.

Budding ballerinas may also see a boost in their language skills. Classical ballet was developed in the court of Louis XIV, and many of the terms used in ballet, like "plie" and "arabesque," have their roots in French.
When you first enroll your child in dance classes, it’s a good idea to ask him or her to stick with it for several classes before allowing him or her to quit. Since some days will be more difficult for your child than others are, letting him or her drop out after his or her first bad day can be premature.
While ballet got its start in the Italian courts in the late 1400s and early 1500s, it didn’t really come into its own until 1581. That’s when the first ballet was performed for the court of Henry III in France, titled “The Comic Ballet of the Queen.”
When it comes to the foxtrot, the hold is of utmost importance. It’s important that you make sure that you are using good posture and that your hands are placed correctly. In addition, always keep your chin up, and do not look down.
