Dear patients,
We want you to know that your health and safety are extremely important to us. Recently the KDHE and the ADA recommended that dental practitioners in Kansas voluntarily suspend non-essential or non-urgent dental care. For this reason we will temporarily be rescheduling all hygiene appointments. We will be contacting patients to move appointments soon. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call the office at (620) 663-9136. Thank you for being patient with us as we try to navigate this situation together.

Ediger Family Dental Patients,
With the development concerning the COVID-19 our office will start screenings over the phone and or at appointment time. We are asking our patients if they have had a fever, cough, or traveled outside the state/ country within the last 2 weeks to reschedule their appointment. Also we advise our older patients and immunocompromised to reschedule if they are not having emergency problems at this time just as a precaution.
At Ediger Family Dental your safety is our #1 concern. All of the instruments used during patient treatment are cleaned and sterilized, according to the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They are packaged with internal monitors for each set of instruments, to indicate that each set has been properly processed. The instruments are placed in sealed packages to protect the sterility of the instruments until they are opened at the time your treatment begins. Our sterilizers are tested for effectiveness on a weekly basis, according to CDC guidelines. If you ever have any questions regarding the safety protocols we follow to protect you, please let us know. We are happy to discuss these issues with you and to show you how we sterilize our instruments.
Those protocols are not new but we have put additional guidelines to help keep our office as clean as possible.
• Magazines and books are removed from waiting room
• Coffee machine is removed
• Chairs, door handles, counter space and pens will be sprayed with Lysol and wiped down with our Caviwipes several times a day.
If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to give us a call and ask any question you may have. We understand the need to reschedule your appointments to keep you safe. We do ask for understanding at this time as our schedule is limited. We do have a list going for people who would like to be seen sooner than the appointment given. Also we are going to work on giving more time between patients for our wiped area’s to be completely dry. This takes 3 minutes. Thank you for your understanding. Please be cautious and keep up on your hand washing, covering sneezes and coughs.

We are happy to announce a new Hygienist to the Ediger Family Dental Team! Welcome Ginger Scripsick!
Ginger has worked as a dental hygienist for over 17 years. She grew up in Zenda, KS and has lived in Hutchinson since 2003. She attended Hutchinson Community College and Wichita State University where she received her Associates degree in dental hygiene. Ginger says she enjoys working with patients to help them along the path to a healthy smile. With years of experience in the dental field she is committed to providing a comfortable visit and a gentle cleaning. Outside of work Ginger and her husband Brant are busy raising 3 boys who are active in school and sports.
We're excited to tell you that we'll be moving our practice to a bigger, more convenient location on November 2nd 2020. If you have an appointment with our office prior to that date, please know we're still expecting you at the old address.
