I was asked by some people here in Boca if acupuncture was painful?
Looking at the needle on this picture you can see compared to a small injection needle, that the needle are very thin. I use 0.20 mm diameter acupuncture needle and no, there is no liquid in them.
The insertion is as good as painless, but a slight tingle will be felt, called needle sensation when the acupuncture point is hit.The needles can be withdrawn immediately or stay in for 20 or 30 minutes, during which time there may be a heaviness of the limbs and a pleasant feeling of relaxation.
