Get to know our team – Part 5! Chad Zucco is our Director of Operations and joined our team in June of this year after retiring from the City of Greensburg Police Department with 22 years of service, and over 25 years of combined service in Law Enforcement. Chad had worked in multiple supervisory capacities for Greensburg PD and retired as Chief of Police. Chad grew up in Greensburg where he still resides with his wife Mandy and their two children, Natalia and Dominic. Natalia and Dominic both attend Point Park University and are teammates on the Cross Country and Track teams. Natalia is a sophomore focusing on Pre-Law and Dominic is a freshman focusing on International Intelligence. Chad graduated from Greensburg Salem High School in 1990 and the PA Act 120 Police Academy in 1994. His continuing education included a focus on Leadership studies through the University of Phoenix and the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session #259 in Quantico, Virginia. In May of 2017, Chad was honored to be selected as a national instructor for Resilience training – specifically focused towards first responders. Chad was assigned to a team that would travel throughout the US and Canada training police leaders, who would learn the tools to be able to train the officers in their respective departments. Chad believes strongly in the mantra of pushing forward; success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts – to adapt and overcome. He believes that everyone has more in them to offer to the world; with success being a never-ending road. He also feels that we all must continuously adapt to disruptions – whether perceived or otherwise - in our paths. The love of baseball runs deep in Chad’s family and continues today. Some of his fondest memories involves either playing or coaching. They have been staunch Pittsburgh Pirate fans even through the many “not so good years”! They started taking the kids to Pirate games when they were babies and they still enjoy it to this day. Many family memories have been made at the ballpark! Up there with baseball, Chad also loves to cook and make homemade Italian food for friends and family. Chad has been often asked what made him switch careers after retirement and join Gaskey & Associates. While it may seem like a polar opposite career, Chad has a pretty simple comparison – helping others. “Knowing Ed as well as I do, I have seen firsthand the difference he and his team can make in people’s lives. People often wait too long to plan for the future, and the future is here before they know it. Everyone knows of the integrity that Ed carries and they trust him with their financial future, and he has yet to disappoint. As a police officer, the joy and satisfaction came from helping someone who may have found themselves in a bad situation. As a part of this team, that same amount of joy and satisfaction comes from seeing that person who is able to retire early, pay off a mortgage or realize goals that they thought seemed unattainable.” If you would like any more information on what we do, or have questions about your financial goals, please reach out to us! It's time, Greensburg!! It is with much excitement that we get to officially announce that we will be relocating our practice to our hometown community, Greensburg! Pellis Construction has started building our new office home on Frye Farm Road and we couldn't be more excited! While the entrance will be on Frye Farm Rd just east of the Historic Mountain View Inn, the building will sit just off of Route 30. This is much more than just a new building where we go to work. This is much more than just an office to meet clients. This is much more than just another office building sitting along Route 30. This is the result of countless conversations with clients and one of the many parts of our vision for the future. This new building is about the clients and the community, both of which we strive to serve. We get to come back home - to where it all began, and entrench ourselves in everything that makes this community so great. When we discussed designing our new office, we could easily envision what we wanted to see- the difficult part was tying it all together. We had our clients in mind for 100% of this design process. We wanted the building to be a destination and not simply an office. We wanted it to be functional for our current office usage and needs, while being large enough to accommodate all of the great things that we have planned. We have to say that we are very happy with the final plan. It will have a modern and stylish look, yet built with a character that highlights it's location on the horizon of the beautiful Laurel Mountains. It will have plenty of office space for us to expand, yet not too large where we lose that personal touch. We will have a beautiful client lounge / waiting area with amenities that are sure to keep you comfortable. Our conference rooms will be state of the art and able to accommodate everything from a small family meeting to a large client appreciation event. The layout is open, bright with natural light and welcoming to our friends and clients that we consider family. As far as client meetings, if there is one thing that we learned from this pandemic, it is that we must be ready and prepared, armed with the newest technology that will connect us with our clients in any environment. While we like to see every one of our clients in a face to face meeting, we understand that it is not always possible. Some clients have preferred Teams or phone meetings during this uncertainty and may continue after the pandemic. We can assure each one of you that no matter how you decide to connect with us, we will have the technology in place to do it. In our design process where we spent so much emphasis on the client coming into the building, we planned just as much for "virtual" meetings. We put together the newest and greatest technology platforms to make certain that your experience is seamless. We truly hope that all of you love this new chapter as much as we do and we promise to keep everyone updated throughout this process. We also want to thank each and every one of you for supporting our vision of being the area's go to for financial planning and advice. Please stay tuned to our FB page to keep up to date on not only financial matters, but the awesome things that we have planned for our community! THANK YOU, Veterans! Every single day we respect and admire each and every one of you for your courage and sacrifice. But today - today is your day. Today is the day that you should be honored even more. Today is the day that we should all stop to remember those that fought for us. Those that fought not only in wars, but fought through barriers and struggle, fought through emotions or being away from home - often times as your loved one is laid to rest; or your first child is being born. Those of you that watched from thousands of miles away as your children opened Christmas gifts, and those of you that spent Christmas Eve in a hostile environment so that we could enjoy the peace and comfort of home. Those of you that left home at a young age to protect our freedom – whether you chose a new path later or dedicated your adult life to the cause. Those of you at that young age overcame more than most of us could ever imagine. Those sacrifices that you all have endured for only one thing - the benefit of others. The benefit of your fellow Americans to have a safe, secure and peaceful homeland. You served to defend that beautiful flag that not only waves in glory, but represents what we stand for. Those stars and stripes represent every single one of us in one way or another - and although we may not always agree on the interpretation, be assured that we agree on your mission. Your sacrifices have given us that ability to state our beliefs – to debate for what we believe in, and to humbly accept what we may not. Whether from the shores of the pacific or the deserts of the middle east, the jungles of southeastern Asia or the borders of our own home, we salute and honor you for protecting the freedoms that we have today. A simple thank you does not seem to be enough, but please know that it comes from the very soul of Americans.

The below photos are updates from different angles of the building process. The next steps should include the glass (which there is a lot of as you can see!) and getting the building sealed up. There will also be some exterior work to start, while the interior is getting the final decisions on placement of lighting, fixtures, etc. Everything is moving along nicely!

Hello friends! Most of the work being completed on our building is preparation for future phases. They have been installing pipes and drains, moving dirt and finishing up some last minute interior touches to be ready to install the glass soon. The interior has been all framed, and as you can see from the photos, the roof is done! It’s really exciting to see all of this coming together and we will continue to update all of you as we go along. The next update photos will also include some photos from different angles of the building. However, the last photo attached shows the interior framing prior to the roof being installed (photo credit - Pellis Construction)
