Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend!
Hi, I’m Sandra and since interning with Eighty6 back in 2017, I’ve been going to school at St. John’s University for Graphic Design. At Eighty6, Evan was my mentor and taught me how to use programs like Adobe InDesign. Evan’s crash course in Adobe InDesign and the opportunities he gave me to practice with the Meadowlands Magazine helped me design some of my best pieces as a college student. At Eighty6, Evan, Steph and Jay all taught me how to create a great working environment, to which I was proud to contribute to (especially with the addition of the Design Hall of Fame).
Hi, my name is Michelle Lee and I’m currently a freshman at the School of Visual Arts, studying advertising and design! During my senior year of high school, I interned at Eighty6, which provided me with lots of valuable experiences. As an intern, I was able to first-handedly see and take part in the design and advertising process. It opened my eyes to the business aspect of art and how these two operate together in actuality. It also made me realize the various types of work one can do as an art major, as well as the different types of services that a design and advertising agency can provide. Ultimately, Eighty6 helped me set my mind on pursuing this major in college and provided me with experiences and encouragements that better prepared me for it.
My name is Andre Canta and I was an intern at Eighty6 during my senior year of high school! Throughout the internship, I was creating videos and graphics with the team at Eighty6 for their various clients. That really helped to foster more and more creativity. As a senior, I was also applying to college and figuring out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Ultimately, I chose to go to University of San Francisco as an undeclared major. However, working at Eighty6 helped me realize that I wanted to continue working with video and graphic design, and I recently became a Design major at USF. My time as an intern gave me experience in the “real world” and not only helped me choose a major, but also gave me confidence to do freelance designs and posters my friends’ organizations.

Hey! My name’s Eric; I am currently a third year at SVA with a focus on game development and I was an intern at Eighty6 in 2016.
My favorite experience at Eighty6 was shocking the entire team by eating a tongue burrito, and moving to a new space and meeting the huge office dog.
Interning at Eighty6 taught me a lot; when meeting with clients they taught me the importance of presentation and professionalism, and when working on projects they showed me the significance in valuing execution.
They also taught me everything to know about Adobe InDesign and for that I am eternally grateful.
