Eisman & Russo has received the A.P. Bolton Pavement Award for US 41 from Alico Rd to Daniels Pkwy in FDOT District 1 - a project led by Scott Woss, PE. This award is rated at the District Level by FDOT personnel and must meet minimum quality characteristics in both Ride and Mix Quality. The project will now advance to compete at the State level. Congratulations, Scott!

At the ASCE National Convention held last weekend in Miami, Scott Gombar, PE, Senior Project Engineer and E&R Principal, presented construction sequencing, methodology and innovations for the I-395/ SR 836/ I-95 project, an $802 million project being constructed in partnership between the FDOT and MDX. The project includes a Iconic Cable-Stayed Signature Bridge with six precast arches and a 1,025' cast-in-place segmental span.
Eisman & Russo's CEI team oversaw the erection of the first of four bridges to cross SR 44 serving The Villages near the Buena Vista Blvd Intersection. The 232 ft long truss superstructure steel span was assembled nearby over a 5-month period and rolled into place using self-propelled modular transporters. The new bridge serves as a highly recognizable gateway for The Villages' southern region. Bruce Boyles, PE - Sr. Project Engineer/Project Administrator.
E&R has received the Best in Construction for CEI services in the category of Design Build for our collaboration on the I-95 Diverging Diamond Interchange at St. Johns Heritage Parkway in Brevard County for FDOT District 5. The project was completed August 2019. Ranger Construction Industries was the contractor.
The award was presented in August at the FTBA Annual Convention and collected by Jim Boughanem, PE, E&R SPE and former Construction Engineer for FDOT Brevard Operations.
Eisman & Russo received the 2020 ACEC-FL / FDOT Outstanding Major Bridge Award for CEI services for the I-95 Overland Bridge Replacement Project for the reconstruction of I-95 through Downtown Jacksonville which included 15 travel lanes at its widest point with 15 ramps, construction of 14 new bridges and 3 bridge widenings, converting a partial interchange into a full interchange, and six MOT phases, moving traffic during demolition of the old bridges/ roadways and constructing the new ones, all while maintaining existing traffic flow. Congratulations to John Kemp, PE, Senior Project Engineering, and the entire CEI team! (Project completion Dec 2018).
