My name is Elizabeth Franklin-Best and I practice exclusively criminal appellate law. I’m licensed in New York, South Carolina, South Carolina District Court, the Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court.
I handle criminal appeals, including federal habeas and white collar crime in both New York and South Carolina, as well as the federal courts of appeal. I am a partner in the law firm of Blume Franklin-Best & Young, LLC and am the Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors for Justice 360, a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing equality in capital cases. I am also a Vice-Chair on the Amicus Committee for the Fourth Circuit for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), and on the White Collar Crime Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA). When I’m not working, I’m probably running and watching too much college football.
