Lots of news reports this weekend about the puzzling phenomenon of #covidtoes - a condition likened to chilblains but with varying symptoms of pain, swelling, red and purple blotches and bumps affecting the feet and hands. We are studying how this manifests in people, but for now we think it is most often a late sign of convalescent (resolving) COVID-19. To my hair loss patients, existing and new: I'm sorry that I will not be able to see you in clinic as quickly as we would all like due to very necessary and important social distancing practices. Hair loss requires in-person, detailed examination and doesn't lend itself well to video visits. I'm hopeful visits can resume within the next 8 weeks.
