Many agents seemingly fall into the real estate industry for any number of reasons, but very few set out to join it with intent from the get-go. Ellen Middleton belongs to that latter category.
The Texas State University graduate comes by her passion for it honestly. Her two aunts and her grandmother were/are in real estate, and her father is a commercial general contractor who used to build homes with his father. Her family currently owns a lumber business, producing doors and trim for homes. And she attended interior design school for a time -- Ellen still enjoys using this gift for envisioning a home’s potential as she helps her clients.
She and her mother have recently started a side business flipping, selling and renting. That’s one particular aspect of real estate she especially loves – there are so many paths you can take and there’s always something new to learn.
Ellen is currently remodeling a home in the Bishop Arts District, where she lives with her boyfriend, two dogs and a cat. She likes spending her free time exploring Dallas’ hottest restaurants and bars, and going to museums, concerts and plays.
