I attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed my residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency where I served as chief resident during my final year of training. After residency, I returned to Seattle and completed a geriatric medicine fellowship at Swedish Medical Center. I am a board-certified family physician with a certificate of added qualification in Geriatrics. I provide care for people of all ages. My geriatric interests include care for both vigorous and frail older persons. Maximizing quality of life and reducing the burden of illness are primary goals of geriatric care. I enjoy caring for individuals with complicated or multiple medical conditions and I believe that preventative care is warranted throughout life. I feel that medical care must be tailored to the needs of each patient – clear communication and review of the whole person are central elements of a medical relationship.
