Please be advised that kennel cough has been going around- many cases noted in Dorchester and Quincy. You may want to avoid highly populated dog parks or high traffic areas for the next couple of weeks- in particular if you have a young unvaccinated pup, or an older dog. If you notice symptoms such as a hacking/ honking persistent cough, please give us a call and avoid contact with other dogs. Although kennel cough is treatable, if left untreated it can develop into more serious upper respiratory issues.

Quick update for everyone! Many people are familiar with the Do Not Enter Policy at the hospital now, and we have luckily been able to keep our regular hours in place. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, we have been experiencing a higher than normal volume of phone calls; we are taking orders for medications and food over the phone, taking payments, and doctors and staff are taking more time discussing treatment plans via phone. If you are unable to get through to us, it is because all of the lines are busy. Please be patient and try again in a few minutes and you should get through just fine! If you have a non-urgent issue or question, you can also email us at emmersonanimalhospital@gmail.com with all of your info, and we can get back to you within 24 hours. Thank you all so much, be well.
Tank enjoyed his very first visit today!
