My passion for fitness started at the age of fifteen. I had no clue that one day this passion would direct me to start my own business. Through a very supportive group of family and friends, I found my purpose due to my enthusiasm and empathetic personality. After seventeen years of working behind a desk I decided that I could no longer ignore what had been in front of me for a large part of my life, my passion for fitness.
In September 2008 I started attending the National Personal Training Institute. I received my personal trainer certification in April of 2009. My education consisted of 300 hours in the classroom studying topics such as:
Anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, pregnancy, adolescent and elderly specialized training, arthritis and osteoporosis, diabetes, coronary artery disease and hypertension, fibromyalgia, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation and reconditioning. In addition, I completed 200 hours of hands-on training
