Earthquakes are very unpredictable, but we know it is still not a question of “If it will happen” but “When it will happen”? Will you be ready? We are just 15 days away from this years “Great ShakeOut”. On October 15th at 10:15am Encino Hospital Medical Center, along with many other facilities throughout California, will “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” in the state’s largest earthquake drill ever! This drill is designed to help you respond quickly in the event of an actual earthquake. You may only have seconds to protect yourself in an earthquake before strong shaking knocks you down, or something falls on you. #ShakeOut #California #GreatShakeOut #EarthquakeDrill #AreYouReady #BeReady #GetReady #EncinoHospitalMedicalCenter #Encino #LACounty #SanFernandoValley

Keeping healthy requires getting enough sleep. Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of good quality sleep to be rested to face the next day. For the next few days, get to bed at the same time every night at an hour that allows you to get adequate rest. See if you’re feeling more rested in the morning and then stick to that time-frame for a restful night and a productive day. #SelfCare #Sleep #Rest #HealthyLifestyle #EncinoHospitalMedicalCenter #Encino #Community #LACounty #SanFernandoValley

A week ago, we participated in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills lead by our Emergency Preparedness Team. Our Encino Hospital Medical Center staff and employees kept each other safe by following safety protocols and actions. Taking the proper actions, like “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” can save lives and reduce the risk of injury. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to take a moment and step away from the new normal to help prepare ourselves and others for the next earthquake. Always remember that the best time to prepare for a disaster is before it happens. #WeArePrepared #WeAreReady #GreatCAShakeOut #ShakeOut #Earthquake #EmergencyPreparedness #Preparedness #EncinoHospitalMedicalCenter #Encino #Community #LACounty #SanFernandoValley
