While offices were closed today we held our first virtual all-staff meeting: "Trailblazing Together".
Today was about the hundreds of people that make Ent so special. It was about learning, being inspired and coming together as a "family" to celebrate each other, our organization and what it means to be part of the Credit Union Movement.

MEMBER ALERT: It has come to our attention financial apps similar to Money Lion contain a pop-up ad which people are swiping away. However, in swiping it away you are agreeing to pay another app called Cushion (or a similar one) as much as $100 without realizing it. Similarly, people that have voluntarily paid for an app like Cushion to help them get credit card fees reimbursed may not realize they are also repeatedly contacting your banks and credit unions.
Please be aware when a pop up ad appears in one of the financial apps to be careful not to swipe without reading it. Also, if you do have a financial app on your phone you should confirm you haven’t inadvertently paid this fee.

However, in swiping it away you are agreeing to pay another app called Cushion (or a similar one) as much as $100 without realizing it. Similarly, people that have voluntarily paid for an app like Cushion to help them get credit card fees reimbursed may not realize they are also repeatedly contacting your banks and credit unions.
Please be aware when a pop up ad appears in one of the financial apps to be careful not to swipe without reading it. Also, if you do have a financial app on your phone you should confirm you haven’t inadvertently paid this fee.

Today we celebrate the birthday of our namesake, Major General Uzal Girard Ent.
Interesting facts:
- He was born March 3, 1900 in Pennsylvania
- He commanded the tent city that later became Ent Air Force Base
- He was a co-pilot in the National Balloon race when a lightning strike killed the pilot and set the balloon on fire. Ent could have parachuted to safety but, instead, chose to stay, attempted to rescue the pilot and successfully landed the balloon.
- He was seriously injured in a crash during takeoff of a B-25 and was paralyzed from the waist down, but learned to walk again using braces.
- He retired for "disability in line of duty" in 1946, with the rank of major general.
