Over the past 15 years, Dr. Vandana Kumra has focused on delivering patient-centric care. Dr. Kumra is a board certified otolaryngologist /head & neck surgeon specializing in the evaluation and treatment of adult and pediatric patients, and has made the focus on the individual the hallmark of her practice. In an era of hyper-specialization in medicine, Dr. Kumra is a rare ENT physician who has focused on providing comprehensive care of the ear, nose and throat, head and neck. She and her dedicated staff take ownership of the patient’s complete care, coordinating care as needed with primary care doctors and other specialists. The goal of ENT New York is to develop long-term provider-patient relationships which enhance the quality, safety and satisfaction of the care provided.
A graduate of The Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Kumra received her doctorate from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery followed at SUNY-Downstate. After board certification, fellowship was attained in The American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Kumra has been in private practice in Manhattan since 1998. Providing compassionate and comprehensive care has been the goal of her work. Care of all aspects of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck - with special attention to cutting-edge therapies and new approaches while ensuring excellence in the tested established treatments – is the principle upon which ENT New York is based.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Kumra has a teaching appointment at the New York University Medical Center. She teaches residents, participates in courses and lectures, and holds memberships in national and local medical societies. She is a life member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kumra is a New York native. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
