Eric B. Trestman, MD, is a vascular surgeon with expertise in traditional open surgical techniques and advanced minimally invasive procedures that treat the full spectrum of vascular disease. His acute clinical focus involves the treatment of aortic aneurysms, carotid disease and arterial/venous lower extremity disease. He also brings advanced skill in providing and maintaining dialysis access.Dr. Trestman is actively involved in outcomes based research having published on the novel use of biologic grafts, peripheral vascular disease in the elderly and contemporary medicolegal issues. He is an involved member of numerous local, regional and national medical organizations including the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Eastern Vascular Society where he holds committee positions. After graduating from Syracuse University with honors, Dr. Trestman went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine in his hometown of New Orleans at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He was then accepted into an accelerated 5 year residency in Vascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx where he was highly trained in all aspects of Vascular Surgery, concentrating on complex minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of aortic aneurysms and peripheral vascular disease.
