How has COVID-19 affected our criminal justice system?
It’s hard for me to believe, but seven years ago today, I opened my solo law practice. Needless to say, I was quite scared taking the leap, but I was also excited about the prospect of building a reputation as a hard-working, honest and effective criminal defense attorney.
I am so thankful to everyone who has trusted me with their case or with a case for someone they love. I think I’ve succeeded in building the reputation I sought as a young attorney, and I sincerely appreciate all my clients, past and present, who have given me the privilege of serving them.
I know things are scary right now, but we will make it through this. In response to current events, my practice is open, but I am doing my part to minimize contact with others. For that reason, my consultations will be almost exclusively by telephone. If you or someone you know needs help with criminal charges, please call me at 859-242-3487. I will answer the call!

Many of us have become conditioned by countless movies and TV shows to think the police always have to read us our rights. But that's not necessarily the case.
In my latest blog post, I address the question, "The police did not read me my rights, so they have to dismiss my case - right?"
