On Wednesday October 14th a little after 7:00 am, I was walking along Ravenswood near Foster, to catch the Metra at Lawrence, when I was struck by a hit and run driver. I was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital where I cannot thank the trauma team and the cardiac ward staff enough, they took such great care of me. Since I arrived at the hospital unconscious I still don’t even know exactly where I got hit, making the chance of catching the person nearly impossible. (Hope to finally see a police report today). However, I do know there was someone who called 911 for me, and I would very much appreciate help using social media connections to try and find this person so I can personally thank them. I am home, and healing, which might not have been the case if it was not for this person.
Thank you for all the love and support JT Wanner and my family and friends who have done so much. Getting better each day.
