What's the recipe for a happy cat? Like any good food blogger, we've documented the exact ingredients and directions for you. Click the link in our bio for our family recipe to cook up the purrrrrrfect household for any feline. #EssingtonRoadAnimalHospital #jolietpets #pets #animalhospital #animalsoferah #jolietil #joliet #catsofinstagram

"Bring out the LAYYYZERRR!" Not that laser! You've seen cute pictures of dogs in sunglasses, soaking up the luxury of anti-inflammatory and pain-killing laser therapies, but they aren't just for dogs! Cats are actually *more* likely to have arthritis than dogs and respond well to laser treatments. The best part? They can get cuddled throughout. The laser is a painless experience that doesn't require more than a couple minutes of cuddles to complete. A single laser treatment can speed healing of wounds and infections, or provide days or even weeks of pain relief for chronic issues. (Plus, every time we get to ask our team to "BRING OUT THE LAYYYZAAAA" we get a little bit happier inside. Make us happy and bring on the kitties for laser sessions!) #EssingtonRoadAnimalHospital #jolietpets #pets #animalhospital #animalsoferah #jolietil #joliet #lightlasertherapy #catsofinstagram #catarthritis
If you need a smile... this is a deaf dog before and after his owner signed "good boy". 💓 Deaf dogs are often all white as hearing and pigment share common cells during a fetus's development. #EssingtonRoadAnimalHospital #jolietpets #pets #animalhospital #animalsoferah #jolietil #joliet #dogsofinstagram #deafdogawarenessweek
🍊 you glad it is Friday?
Just when we thought kitten season might be over, we were brought another litter! While these babies are still weeks away from being weaned, they will be available for adoption in a few months. In the spirit of the season, we have named them Winnie, Sarah, Mary (3 buff kittens), and Billy Butcherson (gray and white). If you're interested in adopting a Hocus Pocus kitten in the future, please let us know!
It is flea season and some of our patients are crawling with them! Make sure you stock up on preventative to take advantage of our deals! YOUTUBE.COM SERIOUS Flea Infestation: Noah's Ark Companion Animal Hospital
Catnip party.
We have some great news to share. Allee found her new home. It took time, but we did it. And I don't think we have ever seen a foster fail so fast. It didn't even take the night to go from a temporary foster home to full-on adoption. And she couldn't be happier.
Anchises needs his coffee just like we all do.
Anchises wants to remind everyone to wash behind their ears!
Have you ever seen such a dainty lady? 😍 Delilah is a 4 year old, spayed domestic longhair that was recently surrendered to the clinic through no fault of her own. She is very sweet and affectionate and loves to rub against legs and hands! Delilah came from a home with other cats, dogs, and children. We believe she would adapt well to a variety of home life situations! Please call to set up a time to meet her.

Will your cat be one of the 90% of felines who suffers from arthritis? Or will your dog be one of the 60% of canines that do? We hope not. You have the power to help prevent this illness before it starts. ESSINGTONROADANIMALHOSPITAL.COM The Best Defense Is A Good Offense: Preventing Arthritis BEFORE It Starts
One of the two definitely got the better deal...
Happy Candy-For-Breakfast and Sh*t-I-Forgot-To-Change-The-Clocks Day. It’s also November 1st, aka Preventative Day, so make sure all the pets get their heartworm, flea, AND tick preventatives today. It might be getting cold, but ticks and internal parasites are still active through the Winter, so keep your momentum going despite the weather. #essingtonroadanimalhospital #jolietillinois #petsofjoliet
Some of the cats preferred their costumes over others.
Well, here we are. We're still open, still here for your sick pets, and plan to stay that way. We do, however, need to do our part to protect the community. Swipe through for our current plan, including some answers to FAQs we've been getting, and more information on safe mask wearing to keep you safe here and everywhere! Remember: sick pets, boarding pets, grooming services, prescription and food pick up will all continue as normal. Worried about your pet's specific needs? You can always call and speak with us directly. We're not going anywhere! Please, Joliet: stay safe. We are heartbroken to see what is happening in our community, especially knowing how many of these infections are preventable. Let's get our numbers down and protect our families, friends, and businesses, all at the same time. And as a final note, we will be closed for Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
Just saying, guys. We would get it done and trim your nails.

Yesterday was the 1st, AKA Preventative Day.⠀ ⠀ Did you know that "flea dirt" (the tiny flecks of brown/black dirt in your pet's fur when they have fleas) is actually *flea poop*?⠀ ⠀ Did you know that flea poop is made up of YOUR PET'S BLOOD?!?⠀ ⠀ It's gross. We thought you should know.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #EssingtonRoadAnimalHospital #jolietpets #pets #animalhospital #animalsoferah #jolietil #joliet #dogsofinstagram #catsofinstagram
