Since the weather is FINALLY starting to cool off, we thought it would be a good time to address some of the most popular questions about our World Famous Beer Cheese Soup. (Check it out below in Jacksonville Magazine's "Taste"!)
1. Do you have to be of 21 to order it?
No. The alcohol burns off in the cooking process.
2. Speaking of alcohol, what kind of beer is in it?
Great question. It's Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest.
3. Is it made in the restaurant?
Yes! Every day. Except when we're closed.
4. Is it vegetarian?
No. Because chicken stock, for one.
5. Do you offer it every day?
If we are open, BCS (as we refer to it) is on simmer in the kitchen. Other soups, however, we rotate. Check our website for the soups of the day at each location: europeanstreet.com

In light of the cancellation of this year's Dining Out for Life campaign, organizers are encouraging local residents to patronize restaurants participating in the 2021 event with a drawing every week from October 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. Prizes will be purchased from local small businesses.
In Jacksonville, Dining Out for Life benefits Northeast Florida AIDS Network, the longest standing AIDS Service Organization (ASO) in Northeast Florida. Its mission is to provide compassionate leadership, services, and advocacy in meeting the prevention, health, spiritual and social needs of individuals, families and communities.
European Street Cafe is, once again, proud to participate in Dining Out for Life.

You've, no doubt, seen the posts about our new-ish Picklewich (which is DILL-icious, by the way). Now we want to introduce you to pickle ... ball!
Oddly enough, pickleball doesn't have anything to with those tasty dills we serve with most sandwiches. It's actually a sport and has nothing to do with E. Street except that our fearless leader Andy is also a pickleball enthusiast (okay, addict), who opened Jax Pickleball Store last year and became a USA Pickleball-certified instructor.
And he just so happens to be hosting a FREE pickleball clinic (beginner through intermediate) at the Active Over 50 Expo Saturday, March 20. For more info: visit activeover50online.com
