Dr. Eva Polar is board-certified in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Polar serves as a primary care physician providing care for adults of all ages. She diagnoses and manages the broad spectrum of illnesses that affect adults, including chronic illness, as well as promotes wellness and disease prevention.As part of her responsibilities, Dr. Polar assisted in achieving the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s Patient- Centered Medical Home designation, a model of care that emphasizes care coordination and communication and is a quality indicator highly regarded by clinicians and consumers alike. Dr. Polar graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree in the premedical honors program. During this time, she became interested in research, working on the development of hydrogels as potential wound healing materials.Dr. Polar earned her medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. She then joined the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine where she was involved in the management of clinical trials. Dr. Polar currently practices at ColumbiaDoctors in White Plains, NY and is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.
