Just a quick public service announcement. I have been receiving a lot of calls about over full septic systems. Especially cesspools. This is due to snow melt. To safe guard against any problems please follow these steps.
1: Locate septic/cesspool cover and remove all snow around it.
2: Dig dirt off cover if applicable. With the snow removed from the ground above the cover. The ground can freeze at night.
3: Call 508-238-6241 if you experience any kind of back up over the next few weeks while the snow melts. If the water table gets high enough it will reverse the flow of your septic system. This will cause ground water pressure to push your leaching field water into your house. Following steps 1 & 2 will give me instant access to your septic tank/ cesspool, greatly reducing any damage to your home.
