16 Seer upgrade over the old 1972 furnace with 99 outside unit. Bumped from 3 ton to 4 ton with new plenum and duct work for add on. 4" Honeywell filter rack for better air filtration and not have to be a monthly thing anymore.
Is your heat pump running and running? Its okay! This extremely cold weather is gonna make your heat pump have extended run time and continuous defrost cycles. If its keeping you comfortable don't mess or worry about runtime. IF its not keeping up and not making you comfortable such as an older unit or a system that needs work, you may switch over to aux or emergency heat. Here is a video of a defrost in action.
