Because of our proven rehabilitation track record, local physicians have come to depend on Excel’s outstanding outcomes when they send their patients to our clinics. While many patients come to Excel through the physician channel, most of our patient’s health insurance companies provide for direct access to physical therapy (no referral required).

We are happy to bill your insurance company, including Auto and Workman’s Compensation insurance. We are a preferred provider for: Aetna, Allegiance, Assurant, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, EBMS, InterWest Health, First Choice/Health InfoNet, Medicare, MHS, Montana Health Co-op, MUS, Multiplan, MUST, PacificSource and United Healthcare.

If you don't see your insurance payer listed above, please call us so our friendly front office team can help verify our participation as we are able to access multiple "out fo network" payer pricing networks like Multiplan, InterWest, First Choice/Health InfoNet among others. We recycled 10 laptops, 2 tower desktops, 1 fax machine and a box full of speakers and cords at the e-waste event at Logan Landfill today. ♻️ It is important to us to protect our patient data even after a device’s use has ended, even when it means a Saturday drive 30 miles away. 406 Recycling guarantees data security as an R2 Certified Recycler. 🌎 Thank you 406 Recycling and Gallatin County Solid Waste District for this community opportunity to keep these devices out of the landfill! #mindfulmoment #excelptmt #bozemanmontana #manhattanmt #stayoutoflandfill #trashgoessomewhere #recycleifyoucan #onesmallact

After multiple knee dislocations, I had a tibial tubercle transfer and MPFL replacement surgery with Dr. Mark Deibert of Alpine Orthopedics. I started working with Jason Lunden (@theendurancept) at Excel just a few days out of surgery to begin the long recovery process. I was non-weight-bearing for 10 weeks so we initially worked on getting my movement back and once I was weight-bearing we were able to start getting my muscle strength back. I was in the clinic three days a week for a while and put in lots of extra time at The Mountain Project (@mountainprojectmt), where I did adaptive workouts to keep my fitness up. With Jason’s help, I was able to return to racing four months after surgery which in itself was pretty miraculous! It took a while for me to fully regain the muscle I’d lost, but with a focus on mobility and Jason finding unique ways to help me regain my leg strength back, I was able to be really competitive the following season. Two and a half years and a lot of strength sessions after my surgery, I'm in Europe racing on the IBU Cup circuit (@ibu_biathlonworld) for the US Biathlon Team (@usbiathlonwomen). I still practice a lot of the PT exercises that Jason showed me before my strength sessions for warm-up. I particularly like the hip strengthening and mobility ones as they specifically apply to good balance and strength on skis. I love biathlon because it’s such a challenge and anything can happen on any given day. Putting together a good day of skiing and shooting is tough, but that’s what makes it fun! After returning home from Europe, I’m planning on another great off-season of training this summer with the goal of making the US National Team (@usbiathlonteam) in October and hopefully competing in World Cups. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #biathlon #biathlonworld #kneerehab #patellardislocation #mpflreconstruction #mpflrecovery #biathlonathlete #rehabandrecovery #kneeinjuries
An MRI in October 2019 revealed two fractures and a very loose ligament in my ankle from years of playing soccer and trail running. In June 2020, I had both fractures removed and a ligament tightening in my right ankle. I put off surgery for my ankle as I headed into my senior ski season at Dartmouth( @dartmouthskiing), but after a fall while nordic skiing in December 2019, I suffered a herniated L5S1 disc that ended my senior ski season. After a week on prednisone and three cortisone shots, I received a microdiscectomy in early July. In late July, I moved to Bozeman to rehab at @excelptmt, and to train with the @bsf_pro_team My favorite thing about PT is experiencing the small improvements. Although it can be frustrating at times, I've learned to focus on the small wins on a daily basis rather than the big picture. I always found that I left Excel with a small victory. As this season comes to end, I'm setting my sights on the 2021-2022 ski season. The Olympics are the main event next year, and it's always been a huge dream of mine to race there! I'm also looking to hopefully get my first World Cup start next winter. My favorite recovery method is a very slow afternoon jog/walk on Pete's Hill and some light yoga with body care (foam rolling). With my limited ability to run this summer, I resulted in a multitude of walking. At the time, it was very frustrating, but now I've found a new appreciation for evening walks. My go to exercise for training is mountain biking! I love mountain biking as cross training because I love the thrill, and it's very similar to nordic skiing with certain phases of climbing and rest. I also love mountain running because of how beautiful the views can be! One of my favorite things about nordic skiing is winding through snowy ski trails while the snow glistens and the sun shines bright! Another one of my favorite things about nordic skiing is traveling to new places all over the road to race! Cheers, Lauren #nuunelite #nordicskiing #skinnyskis #anklerehab #anklereconstruction #microdiscectomy #backrehab
