Examine your dryer vents to ensure the damper isn’t stuck open or broken off completely. Also, check that the seal between the vent and the wall is tight. This can prevent both insects and rodents from getting in to your house.
"Deprive bugs of moisture" is a bit of a theme in the fall months! Many insects depend on some form of moisture for survival. Running a dehumidifier in damp areas like your basement can cut down on A LOT of activity you may see.

Have you ever opened a window in the spring and found stink bugs lining the track? That's because slowly, warm air was seeping out of that area. This signals to them that it was the perfect place to creep in!
Sealing off doors, windows and basement sashes with adhesive-backed weatherstripping can greatly reduce insect activity during the fall and winter months.

Great news! A national company recently released a study listing the Top 50 Bed Bug Cities and we're happy to say that Rochester is no longer on the list! Our neighbor Buffalo however sits at the #24 spot and Syracuse at #39.

Well, it's here! The Christmas season is upon us! Are you bringing home a real tree this year?
It's important to know that you could be bringing unwanted pests home with your tree! Anytime you bring an outdoor tree inside, you should also perform a quick inspection of your new tree.
Things you can look for include: Bird nests, egg masses, and, of course, bugs themselves. After inspecting your tree, we recommend leaving it in the garage for 24 hours before decorating and setting it up to fall. Also just be sure to regularly vacuum around your tree!
