Thor's Well is quite an attraction if you're visiting the Oregon Coast. Known as the drainpipe of the Pacific, this 20 feet deep well looks as if it's draining the water from the ocean. The best times to check this well in action is during high tides (if you get there an hour before the high tide you can view the well without any water) and during storms when the water is more aggressive. Even though this is a beautiful site to see, keep in mind it can be dangerous depending on the tide and weather!

The Dallol Volcano stands in the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia. It's considered the hottest place on earth, with the average daily temperature sitting at 106°F. It's also 410 feet below sea level at the deepest depression, making this one of the lowest points on earth!
This volcano is striking with its beautifully colored landscapes and salt flats covering much of the depression floor. It's frequently visited by tourists, but keep in mind that pools of hot acidic water lie just inches below the surface, which can be dangerous!
