Dr. Balmir is an infertility specialist who evaluates and treats all types of reproductive problems and offers a wide range of innovative treatments for both male and female infertility. Her goal is to help patients achieve a healthy pregnancy as safely and quickly as possible.
Dr. Balmir is experienced with a wide variety of conditions, including pregnancy loss issues, polycystic ovarian syndrome (hormone imbalance), menstrual and reproductive disorders, and tubal reversal. The AHN Center for Reproductive Medicine welcomes single people and same-sex couples. Treatment options include in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg freezing (cryopreservation), and donor eggs.
She earned her degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. She gained additional experience during her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Magee-Womens Hospital.
Dr. Balmir is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, National Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Alpha Omega Alpha Society. Her research interests include prenatal genetic testing and tubal infertility. She speaks French and Haitian Creole fluently.
Dr. Balmir has medical staff privileges at Allegheny General Hospital and West Penn Hospital.
