Meet the Business Owner: Robert D.
Robert DiCenso is one of those fortunate people who found their passion early in life. Robert began his career and perfected his craft in Sulmona, a city in the Abruzzo region of Italy. While the other boys were playing hooky to hang out, Robert would play hooky to assist at the salon of a family friend, Anna Cecca. He would perform odd jobs and was fascinated with all the inner workings of a salon. On high school trips, the girls would line up outside his door waiting for their turn to have him style their hair.
Opening his own salon, "Le Griff" was inevitable. Sulmona, an ancient city better known for its candy covered almonds rather than trendy salons, was a gamble that paid off. He became an instant celebrity. Representing Italy at the "Festival de la Coiffeur" in Cannes France, Robert took home the first place cup for ""Best Day and Evening Styles".
Upon returning to the states, Robert started here in Newton MA building up his clientele and reestablishing his business a leading full service salon.
