Washington State Ferries October 16, 2019 at 6:55 PM · Our international service to Sidney, British Columbia will be suspended Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Dec. 8, when ridership is typically at its lowest on that route. That's because Chelan and Elwha, the only two vessels in our fleet certified to sail in international waters, will be out of service for required maintenance. During this period, Kitsap will replace Chelan to maintain full four-vessel domestic service on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route.
