Couples/Relationship Therapy
When couples come through my door, they don't come in because it's a nice Tuesday afternoon, they come in because this is the last stop before separation or divorce. It is clear to me that their Connection has eroded; yet, there is still Love there! This erosion continues over time, not weeks, months, but years...the couple heads toward their own precipice and, without my (therapeutic) intervention, eventually one of them will say "f...-it"..."I'm out of here" and separation and/or divorce happens. The defense mechanisms not allowing a spouse to communicate (or access) their real feelings is the underlying process for this erosion.
In Couples therapy, it is my goal to provide the tools toward helping folks build and maintain strengthened relationships with their partners.
