COVID-19 has been a very difficult time for all of us. Many of you have been forced to wait for dental care, and we deeply appreciate your understanding while we kept our office closed to help control the spread of the coronavirus. We are excited to say that we are planning to reopen our office for patient treatment on May 4, 2020. We have carefully planned and revised our office procedures to greatly minimize risk of infection. Please following new protocols when you come for future appointments. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
With the everchanging circumstances with COVID-19, the ADA recommends we continue to see patients on an emergency basis only through the end of April. If you have a true dental emergency, call the office as we will be checking messages. We can direct you from there. All appointments for the month of APRIL WILL BE CANCELLED. We will be contacting you over the next few weeks to reschedule. Thank you again for your understanding and patience through this unprecedented time. Dr Jeremy and Kara Friedman and team.
At Family Dental Innovations, we take the safety of our patients, team members, and our community very serious. Due to the updated CDC guidelines and recommendations from the American Dental Association in regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are postponing all elective dental appointments for the next three weeks. In an effort to help control the spread of the coronavirus, our office will limit appointments to essential and emergency procedures until further notice. If you have an upcoming hygiene or non-urgent appointment, we will be contacting you over the next few days to reschedule. Our phone lines will remain open for true dental emergencies. If you are experiencing a true dental emergency, please call our office at (317) 703-1066 and leave a message. We will return your call. We will be available to see patients on an as needed basis. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. This unprecedented situation is ever changing. We will continue to keep you all informed of any further changes with our office. You are the greatest patients in the world, and we will all make it through this! Stay healthy everyone, Dr's Jeremy and Kara Friedman, Dr Cory Zent, and the entire Family Dental Innovations Team
To Our Patients and Families, We appreciate the growing concern with COVID-19 within our communities. After evaluating the most current information and reviewing all published guidelines, we remain confident in our ability to provide dental care in a safe and healthy environment at Family Dental Innovations. With so many news stories, it’s understandable to be concerned about the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Please know that the precautions your dentist already takes every day to prevent the spread of infection in his or her practice also helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. Your well-being is important to your dentist and dental staff. That’s why infection control procedures are in place at your dental office. Your overall health and wellness has always been our highest priority. Infection control procedures are actions taken in health care settings to prevent the spread of disease. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommendations for dental office infection control. Your dentist and dental care team care about your safety and work hard to prevent the spread of infection. Before you enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and counter tops, have been cleaned and disinfected. Offices may cover some equipment with protective covers, which are replaced after each patient. Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused. Infection control precautions also require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns and eye-wear when needed. After each patient, disposable materials are thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and puts on a new pair of gloves. We have reviewed the following with our Family Dental Innovations Team: * Procedures for proper hand hygiene, reinforced their importance, and encouraged accountability between team members. * We have expanded and increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of all common areas and facilities. * We have temporarily removed items that pose a risk for cross-contamination (e.g. magazines, toys, and books) from our common areas. * We have requested our team to not be present at our office if they are experiencing symptoms. We are closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and the American Dental Association and will continue to seek guidance from these agencies and local public health officials. With new information, we will make the necessary adjustments to our operations and will keep you informed of any changes. If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, you should reschedule your appointment. If you or someone you are in close contact with have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution, wait 14 days until you see your dentist to make sure you have not caught the coronavirus. Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in the care you receive at Family Dental Innovations. If you have questions or concerns, please get in touch. We’re in this together and here to help! Drs. Kara and Jeremy Friedman and the Family Dental Innovations Team
