What an wonderful turn out we had today at the Family Dentistry Associates ribbon cutting. Dr. Robby & Dr. Caroline are such sweethearts and are accepting new patients! Welcome to Boaz and the Chamber Family! ๐ Family Dentistry Associates
Our new panorex x-ray machine was installed at our Boaz location today! This machine provides us with crystal clear digital images, all taken ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ of the mouth. This is especially great for all our patients with small mouths or those prone to gagging! The amount of radiation exposure with this machine is ๐๐% ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ than a traditional panorex as well. We are so excited to be able to better serve our community with the excellent quality diagnostic images that this machine will provide us with, and the added comfort for our patients!
We often find that our patients who drink Mountain Dew have a harder time keeping their teeth healthy and cavity-free than those who drink other soft drinks. Our friends over at UAB have some insight as to why that may be. The type of acid found in Mountain Dew makes it harder for your mouth to return to a normal pH after drinking it than the acid in a Coke. The type of acid found in Mountain Dew also binds to the calcium in our mouths and prevents it from binding to our teeth to keep them strong.
