Family Practice Associates is excited to announce that Dr. Kyra Crenshaw will be joining Family Practice Associates starting June 1st. Her panel is now open to new patients and we can conveniently book appointments for her now. Dr. Crenshaw grew up in the Wichita Falls area and we are pleased to add her to our team.
Our Walkin Clinic is still opening at 7 am- Due to COVID-19, we are now closing at 5 pm. We continue to test for COVID-19 with the patient in their vehicle and will continue to interview and check temperatures on everyone entering the building (employees as well). Typical test results are coming back in about 24 hours.
We are encouraging people to use our telemedicine services during this time as well and thank everybody for their patience- The next several weeks are going to be trying for everyone and we continue to be right there with you during this difficult time.
Last week, our walkin clinic remained busy and the different entrance continues to work well. We continue to screen everyone entering the building and are doing our best to insure the waiting room remains open for healthy patients.
We continue to test our patients at risk for COVID-19 in their vehicles- if you have a COVID-19 concern, we ask that you notify us prior to your arrival. Our system is thus far working well and testing is coming back promptly- please remember, if concerned about the virus, it is very important you self quarantine and NOT expose others. Several people in the area have had tests and then gone to local stores or other places while their results were pending. This puts everyone at risk.
Our new telemedicine option is also working well- many routine visits can be taken care of over a video (or in some cases telephone) chat and we are happy to offer this to our patients.
Telemedicine visits are going well. If interested, please contact your physician and they will be happy to work you in to their schedules. These visits are a nice option for our patients (even those who are not high risk) to avoid getting out at this time- they are also a convenient option for anyone with a busy schedule.
Our walkin clinic is working well with the side entrance and we have been able to test appropriate patients for COVID-19 from the relative isolation of their vehicles.
Starting Monday, March 23, we will change our entrance procedures. We have been (and will continue) screening everyone who comes to our front entrance with brief questions and a temperature screening. People who come in for our walkin services, however, will be directed back to their vehicles to wait for us to bring them in a different entrance.

Also starting Monday, we are rolling out an optional telemedicine option to better serve our patients.
We are working to be as flexible as possible during this time and our aim is to keep our patients well taken care of.
We will be open tomorrow, October 28. If the WFISD opens at normal hours then we will open at normal hours. But if the WFISD opens late or cancels, then we will open at 10 AM.
Due to the Wichita Falls ISD closing, we too will be closed today, October 27, for the entire day. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Due to the holiday schedule with our lab Covid-19 testing after noon TODAY (Wednesday, Dec. 23) results will not be available until Monday, December 28 or possibly later.
At this time, Family Practice Associates is not administering the Covid-19 vaccine and it is still uncertain if we will receive doses from the state. Local pharmacies and the Wichita County Health Department are currently the best option for vaccine availability. Only a few thousand doses have reached the local area and at this time, only 1a and 1b patients should be receiving the shot.
Due to inclement weather, Family Practice Associates will be closed Wednesday, February 10, for the entire day. We plan on being open tomorrow.
To be clear, we will not be open tomorrow, Saturday, Feb 20th. We are open today till noon, and will reopen for regular hours on Monday, Feb 22nd.
We will open at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
FPA will be open Friday, February 19 our normal Friday hours.
Family Practice Associates will open at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18.
We are tentatively planning on trying to open after lunch tomorrow at 1 o'clock. We will post an update in the morning.
