Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced today, March 25, that the minimum age to receive a COVID-19 vaccine without meeting other work-related conditions or qualifying chronic conditions will be lowered to 40 on March 29. Starting April 5, all adults 18 and up will be eligible to receive the vaccine, with no qualifying conditions necessary.
Complete Health’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Farley encourages everyone who is eligible to receive the vaccine to sign up to receive it. “The only way to truly beat this virus is through herd immunity,” says Farley. “We’re close to the tipping point, and I expect much of life will return to normal in the coming weeks and months as long as people continue to follow proper safety protocols and getting the vaccine when they are able.”
