At Farm Bureau Insurance we’re dedicated to serving Michigan - and only Michigan. We were founded in 1949 by Michigan farmers—members of Michigan Farm Bureau—who wanted an insurance company that worked as hard as they did, gave honest service, and cared about Michigan’s future.
Those values still guide us today and are a big reason why we are known as Michigan’s Insurance Company, dedicated to protecting the farms, families, and businesses of this great state.

Michigan is our home and we care about its people and communities. Our mission of protecting the people of Michigan from the risks of everyday life, motivates us in helping Michigan be a better place to live. Because of this we proudly invest in Michigan’s future through programs that support education, health and fitness, or address a need in a community that impacts its well-being and that of our state.
Along with our various partners across the state we support programs such as All Children Exercising Simultaneously (ACES) Day. This is an annual event put on by the Michigan Fitness Foundation which brings a day of exercise into Michigan elementary schools every May. We also partner with the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) to provide a Scholar-Athlete award program which awards 32 $1,000 scholarships annually. Through our work with the Detroit Pistons and Palace Entertainment, we are proud to have the ability to make an impact in a deserving school annually with our Reading Room/Library School Makeover project.
