Farrell Physical Therapy specializes in Manual Therapy, including specialties such as Fascial Strain Counterstrain, Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, Total Motion Release and many others. We combine traditional physical therapy modalities with many osteopathic techniques to treat the whole person.
Our goal is to achieve balance within the person to decrease pain and stress; to increase mobility. After our patients pain has subsided, we teach each individual how to remain pain free through therapeutic exercise.
Thus, while the conditions we treat are common to many physical therapy practices, our approach to these conditions is not a fact attested to by many of our patients who comment that their experience with us is very different from what they have experienced in other clinics.
Our patients receive one-on-one treatment utilizing various techniques to relieve pain, evaluate musculoskeletal dysfunction and provide individualized treatment plans.
While we use a multitude of techniques for pain management, and these are detailed below, our goal is to allow patients to progress as soon as possible towards functional training, which may include core stabilization, posture training, strengthening, flexibility and aerobic activities. Thus we seek to both reduce pain and increase the activity tolerance in individuals suffering acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
