My name is Declan Cassidy. I am 11 years old from Philadelphia PA. In 2019 I started a sock collection to help people suffering from Homelessness and Substance Abuse Disorder. I wanted to help people like my sister. I like helping my mom and dad when they do volunteer work. I like helping out in my community. My 1st sock drive i was able to collect 1005 pairs of socks. I donated them to Never Surrender Hope, St.France's Inn and Women's Against Abuse. I will be collecting new socks every year from September to December 20th.
