Three months ago, Feinberg & Waller, A. P. C., like many other businesses and companies, released a public statement standing in solidarity with the Black community in the fight against systemic racial injustice. We are holding ourselves accountable and sharing the work we promised would come from our own personal education. Feinberg & Waller’s employees have a long history of volunteer and activist work. We have been proud of our firm’s dedication to social impact; however, we know we must continually do more to responsibly address inequality and disparities in our society. Our law firm is pleased to establish an annual award to honor a student leader involved in the Constitutional Rights Foundation Los Angeles County Mock Trial Competition, a non-profit, non-partisan educational foundation. The Feinberg & Waller Mock Trial Leadership Award will amplify teen voice and action by highlighting one student each year who has made an impact on their team and community!
The award will preference students who have displayed leadership, who are rising juniors in high school, and are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or Disabled students, or active allies to any of these mentioned communities. Our goal is that each year a new student will be added to this network of young leaders. They will be able to gain guidance from Feinberg & Waller attorneys, and from one another. Our country has always seen discrimination, violence, and racism towards Asian Americans. This dangerous pattern has only increased during this pandemic. Feinberg & Waller shares their greatest sympathies with all the victims of Asian hate. It's our responsibility as business owners, community members, and humans to recognize, acknowledge, and call out the acts that we have seen time after time (in person and the media) for what it is: racism, hate, and terrorism.

California Family Law, a textbook written by Marshall W. Waller with Ryan C. Waller, has been published in its eighth edition by Wolters Kluwer. The text is a cohesive discussion of all aspects of California family law written for professors, students, paralegals and lawyers. The impactful educational book integrates statutory law and judicial interpretation and various judicial council forms used in family law practice. Ryan Waller was not yet born when the first edition of this book was published; he is currently in his third year of law school. His extensive efforts to assist his father, Marshall Waller, with this latest edition have helped to make it the best yet!
