AIDS Action is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2020 Bette Byrnes Award: Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, a fierce health care equality advocate who continues to be a powerful voice for underserved communities in D.C. and beyond. Previously, she served as an at-large member of the Boston City Council. The Bette Byrnes Award is named after the late Bette Byrnes, a dedicated supporter of AIDS Walk Boston. Byrnes, who lost her son John to AIDS, participated annually in AIDS Walk Boston for more than 20 years.
