Many of you still call to ask if you can make an appointment for Covid-19 testing. Our clinics will test you during all business hours with or without symptoms. It is our opinion that everyone needs testing to control the spread of the virus which is why we have made it readily available for both Nasal PCR and Antibody testing. The nasal PCR test is covered by all insurances. The Antibody test is covered by some insurances.

Donate COVID-19 Plasma

We are happy to announce that this week we shared the names of 5 patients as potential plasma donors who all tested positive for COVID-19 a few weeks ago and then tested positive for the IgG. This could be a game changer in this fight but still needs a lot of research just like anything related to COVID-19. On a good note, we have diagnosed a lot of people with COVID-19 over the past month who have done very well and recovered. Flu like symptoms are lasting between 3 to 14 days. The loss of smell and taste seems to be lasting longer in some people. We really feel the mortality rate that has been reported is higher than the true mortality rate. As we increase our testing capabilities, we should see the mortality rate drastically decrease and hopefully be closer to that of influenza. Not sure where to go to donate plasma, click on link below.

Given the demand for Antibody Testing, we will now test in the clinics during business hours. Go to www.firstchoiceucc.com, click request an eVisit and follow the prompts or simply visit one of our clinics. Walk-ins welcome. However, if you have symptoms, we ask that you reach one of our providers by Telemedicine rather than coming into the clinic.
