On a mission to recognize "unsung heroes" in the Columbia County community, Barbara Doonan and Renee Williams set out on a search that lead them to Tiger town CHS' s Facebook page which recently highlighted a team of dedicated food service workers. This group has worked tirelessly since March to feed the students of Columbia County, some of the workers even starting their days at 6 a.m. Donna Coughlin, Food Service Director, who confirmed the number of "heroes" at Five Points, Ft. White, Niblack and Melrose Elementary schools, and Columbia High School. We visited each of those schools to recognize their efforts: "You Rock" Columbia County Schools Food Service Team!

FF Friendly Faces! Daniel Sweat is a Risk Administrator/Business Analyst at our Lake City Financial Center. Daniel enjoys hunting, working in the garden, and volunteering at his church. He loves spending time with his friends and family and his dog, Mack. Daniel takes pride in his work and his positive attitude is contagious!

Justin has been in several roles throughout his 11 years at First Federal, but the friendly support he offers his customers remains constant. He receives many accolades from customers new and old, near and far. His favorite parts of his role now is being a part of an up-and-coming industry and helping his customers grow their business. "I work for an amazing company that not only cares about my family and me, but also the communities in which we live and serve."
The Florida Gateway Pro Rodeo in Lake City is back this year and we are proud to partner with Florida Gateway Fairgrounds to donate tickets to ranchers at the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. Enjoy the rodeo!
Columbia County Resources was excited to receive funds from First Federal's Community Rewards Program to build their new Chicken Barn. the barn will host the annual poultry show and other activities at the county fair. Through the CRP, First Federal customers use their debit card to help donate to a partner organization. Check your local branch to see what programs are currently running.
FF Friendly Faces! Carrie Carter is a Financial Specialist at our Lake City Mall branch. Carrie's level of responsiveness and reliability is off the charts. A customer recently shared, "Carrie really took great care of us. She was a great communicator and kept us up to date." Carrie believes FF Culture is a powerful element that shapes our work enjoyment, relationships, and processes. Her favorite part of her job is meeting new customers daily and helping them achieve their financial goals. "First Federal's Management Team and employees are among the best in the business and have the knowledge to lead our teams and branches to be the 'Best of the Best.'"
FF Friendly Faces! Cori Wells is the Fraud Compliance Officer at First Federal. She loves educating her coworkers, customers and community about fraud and ways to protect themselves. "My team is also the best and makes coming to work fun! The people that work at First Federal make it the best place to work!" A coworker shared that one of the highlights of working at First Federal is being able to work with Cori. She is a true professional, always looking out for the interests of the bank, our employees, and customers. She's also not afraid to embrace risks and accept challenges, which has allowed the bank to grow and develop innovative approaches to serving our customers. Combine all this with Cori's positive outlook and generous attitude and that makes her extraordinary!
