Clearance or Quality Assurance Testing Should Always Be Performed by a Third Party as outlined by the DOH. Mold Inspection, and Remediation should always be performed by different companies as outlined by the DOH.
Beware of free inspections
The DOH has established guidelines for your protection, use them they work, be an educated consumer. Check out the contractor with the BBB,
Free inspections; Inspectors offering free inspection must sell a remediation, or have hidden costs associated with sampling to at least cover their expense. This is why the guidelines are so important, they protect the consumer from fraud, and scams such as this. Clearly, the DOH states that inspection, and remediation should be performed by separate companies, this I why. Make sure the inspection company includes a remediation plan with their inspection, or your back to square one, leaving a remediation firm to establish a plan for their own remediation. Conflicting, and once again outlined by the DOH FOR YOUR PROTECTION
