Here are some things people don’t know about dental, but need to know.

1. Don’t wait until your tooth starts hurting to get it. Dental insurance usually has a waiting period. The norm is six months. If you find a plan without a waiting period, aside from an employer sponsored plan, let me know.

2. Even PPO dental plans have a network. Going out of network will cost you more out of pocket.

3. Dental plans have an annual deductible, and an annual maximum payout.
