Can you spot something that would flag this as a phishing email? Or is it totally fine?
One way you can spot phishing emails? ➡️ The sender address isn’t correct. Check if this address matches the name of the sender and whether the domain of the company is correct. Sometimes you need to train hawk eyes at the address, since spammers have some convincing tricks up their sleeve.
Even the president needs cybersecurity and password management... 😆 SOCIAL.TECHCRUNCH.COM President Trump’s Twitter accessed by security expert who guessed password ‘maga2020!’ – TechCrunch
In 2015, the global cost of malware was an already-staggering $500 billion. In just a short time, however, the economic toll of cybercrime has grown fourfold, to $2 trillion USD. At the current trajectory, the total cost will reach $6 trillion by 2021. If you aren't necessarily worried about Malware.. worry about your bank account!
How do you know if you have Malware on your computer? Here are a few hints... Malware is often easily detectable because your computer begins acting up! You might notice changes to the behavior of your computer or device, such as strange ads or pop-up windows — even when you’re not surfing the web. You may also notice unwanted changes to your browsers’ behavior and changes to its homepage, a slower overall experience on your computer, and a sudden lack of storage space. Have you ever experienced Malware on your computer?
Threat #2? ➡️ Malware Attacks Malware is the second big threat facing small businesses. It encompasses a variety of cyber threats such as trojans and viruses. It’s a varied term for malicious code that hackers create to gain access to networks, steal data, or destroy data on computers. Malware usually comes from malicious website downloads, spam emails or from connecting to other infected machines or devices. Did you download anything from the internet today?
Don't Get STUCK in a dangerous #Cyberweb with the biggest threats facing a small business today.... Threat #1? Phishing Attacks The biggest, most damaging and most widespread threat facing small businesses are phishing attacks. Phishing accounts for 90% of all breaches that organizations face, they’ve grown 65% over the last year, and they account for over $12 billion in business losses. Phishing attacks occur when an attacker pretends to be a trusted contact, and entices a user to click a malicious link, download a malicious file, or give them access to sensitive information, account details or credentials. VERY similar to the Amazon attack we shared about yesterday.. Do you fear someone in your organization clicking on a phishing email?

Don't click the link. 😂
Want to protect your business during the holiday season and beyond? Give us a call! We would love to help!
TRUE! Cyber attacks DRASTICALLY increase during the holiday season! Why? If sending an email from a stranger, the attacker needs to ensure that the victim won’t suspect anything. On any other day, the hacker would typically send a fake ‘Invoice’ or ‘Purchase Order.’ But during the holidays, we open invitations, e-cards and all kinds of shopping "discounts." Do you worry about being hacked during the holidays?
True or False? Hacks increase during the holidays.
Did you know?! Last year there was a 57.5 percent increase in attempted cyber-attacks during the holiday season.
HOW CAN YOU PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS FROM RANSOMWARE? Tip #3 Set anti-virus and anti-malware programs to conduct regular scans automatically.
HOW CAN YOU PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS FROM RANSOMWARE? Tip #2 Enable strong spam filters to prevent phishing emails (an attempt to obtain sensitive information electronically) from reaching employees.
HOW CAN YOU PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS FROM RANSOMWARE? First: What is ransomware? It is a type of malicious software that infects and restricts access to a computer until a ransom is paid. Tip #1 Implement an awareness and training program. Because end users are targets, employees should be aware of the threat of ransomware and how it is delivered. Do you know what ransomware in your inbox looks like?
