Check out these three basic stretches to incorporate every morning into your daily routine to decrease neck and back pain!
👉Door frame chest stretch: Go and face a doorway and stand with both arms outstretched in a T pose. Lean forward into the door frame pressing arms back, feeling the stretch through the chest.
👉Hip flexors stretch: Use a chair or wall for balance. Similar to stretching a quad, kick up one leg and grab your ankle behind your back. While feeling the light stretch in the front of your quad, lean forward changing the stretch through the hip flexor. Repeat for both sides.
👉Walk up to face the wall. Place one foot in front of the other with your foremost foot against the wall. Stand with your back foot flat against the floor with the front foot heel against the floor and balls of the foot against the wall. With the front leg straight, lean forward stretching the calf. Repeat for both sides.

Upon impact, tiny blood vessels called capillaries in the skin break, releasing blood beneath the skin. This results in immediate discoloring and reddening. Over time, this leads to the hallmark blue or black color of a bruise!
While your body begins to heal the damage beneath the skin, it becomes inflamed as your lymphatic system pumps fluid to the zone to remove the leaked blood and to stimulate platelets to begin the healing and rebuilding process.

Fat is a taboo word. Whether you avoid it or not, it’s one of the big focal points of the gym. We all want to lose it! Just so you know, we all have it! There is no way to get rid of all of it and it does have its benefits physiologically for your body. So what exactly is fat?
Fat is the common word we use for the energy storage molecules found in adipose tissue. Adipose cells take blood sugar and convert it into lipids for long term storage. Fat acts as an energy source for your body as a way of making sure that you always have fuel to live, breathe, and move!
Adipose tissue is found throughout the body. When we intake more “fuel” than we need at the moment, the body converts some of the leftovers into fat. The distribution and location it gets stored are based upon your genetics.
When you put your body into a “caloric deficit” you are using more energy than what is readily available in your blood. When that deficit occurs, your body does its best to keep energy levels high by utilizing the stored fat as an alternative. This is why it takes moving, lifting, and sweating to jumpstart fat loss.

-2 eggs
-1 scoop vanilla whey protein
-1 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
■ Blend eggs, whey protein, Ceylon cinnamon, and cloves until smooth.
■ Spritz a pan with olive oil spray and place over medium heat.
■ Spoon about 3 tablespoons of batter into the pan, tilting the pan to evenly spread the batter.
■ Cook for a few minutes, until the edges, are golden brown; flip and cook for about 1 minute more.
■ Remove from the pan and lay flat to cool. Repeat with the rest of the batter.
