October is Contact Lens Safety Month! Because contacts sit directly on the surface of the eye, it's important to clean them properly and wear them as instructed. Here are a few tips to help keep your eyes safe:
➡️ Always wash your hands before inserting or removing your contacts
➡️Use clean contact lens solution, not water and never saliva (which is full of bacteria you don't want anywhere near your eyes)
➡️Replace your contacts as directed
➡️Don't sleep in your contacts
➡️Only wear contacts that have been prescribed to you - this includes colored contacts, even if you have 20/20 vision

How much time do you spend in front of your computer or phone each day? 🤔 Just two hours of screen time per day is likely to cause digital eye strain, which can make you less productive. Every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break from your screen and look at something at least 20 feet away. Your eyes will thank you!
