This happened today at the Heartland Events Center ticket office… This morning a customer called and mentioned that they needed tables on the floor for a group of eight and said they had just been to the HAIRBALL show in Kansas last weekend and had a great time. The Fonner Jogger exercise wheel will open for business this week at 7 a.m. You must present a ticket for your horse to train on the jogger. Tickets are available for purchase in the Fon Admin Office Mon – Fri from 8 – 5p. The cost remains $7 per ticket. If tickets are purchased in bulk (30 or more) the cost is $6.50 per-ticket. For the first week of January 2021, the jogger will be open from 7 – 9a. The jogger schedule will be adjusted for the second week of January.

Fonner Park will adhere to mask/face covering and social distancing requirements until further notice. Masks will be required (but not provided) to enter and must be worn when not seated. NO CHANGE IN FONNER MASK POLICY On February 9, 2021, The Grand Island City Council voted against extending the citywide mask requirement. The requirement will expire on February 23rd. Currently, the Fonner Park & Heartland Events Center policy is to restrict seating to 75% capacity and require a mask/face covering. There will be no change in this policy until further notice. Due to the rain that fell during the races Saturday, the heavy overnight rain, and the current rain and high wind conditions, for the safety of the horses and jockeys, Fonner Park racing for Sunday, March 14th has been cancelled. Much of Central Nebraska this morning is surrounded by what looks like a giant puddle or pond. Our Finish Line Lounge and simulcast facility remains open for nationwide simulcasting and keno. Contact the Fonner Park admin office for an exchange date for any advanced/daily seating sales for March 14, 2021.
