Restoration update: This project has been five decades and two shops in the making. Owners Skip and Vicki bought this 1957 Austin-Healey 100-6 50 years ago, and they were excited to start the restoration process with a Houston, Texas based restoration shop in 2017.
The project was underway when hurricane Harvey hit, and the project literally went under water. The shop sadly didn’t recover from the storm, so Skip and Vicki decided to bring the in-progress restoration to us.
We media blasted the frame and completed the welding and then our senior restoration technician Dan worked his magic! He’s in the final stages of perfecting this gorgeous yellow and off-white two-tone paint job and then he’ll pass the baton to our mechanical team who is stoked to get this beauty rolling!
We had a fantastic time sharing our love of cars both old and new at the Molto Bella car show at Stan Hywet this weekend. The crowds were great all day long and we were so happy to share our 1936 Blower Bentley tribute project with everyone who stopped by.
Restoration update: Like so many of our customers, Alan from Tennessee brought us his 1967 Austin-Healey MKIII BJ8 to us for a driver-level restoration. It was relatively rust-free which allowed us to do minimal metal repair work and bypass the expense of a full rotisserie restoration, but our body team still had their work cut out for them making repairs to correct fitment issues caused by a previous accident. The car has been painted and the project has moved over to our mechanical restoration team. We had all hands on deck last week getting Alan’s engine and transmission reinstalled — getting us one step closer to Alan’s maiden voyage in this gorgeous driver.
We had an unanticipated little visitor at the shop yesterday. It appears that British car lovers really do come in all shapes and sizes!
Restoration Update: Meet our 1960 Turner 950 Mark I project! This car is a multi-generational collaboration — the last time it was in action was on the track at Mid-Ohio when owners David and Carol were expecting their son Curtis. Fast-forward close to 40 years, and the trio is working together to revive and reimagine their beloved family heirloom.
As you can see, this car was in pretty desperate need of a full restoration, so we completely dissembled the car and began by sending its frame off to the media blaster. Back from the blaster, Pat, our senior restoration technician, was able to assess the condition of the frame and get to work making the necessary repairs to give us a strong foundation.

We’re so happy to see this 1955 MG TF heading home to Arkansas. It arrived pre-pandemic in yellow with a black interior and had some engine issues to boot. It’s leaving in the iconic color combo of British Racing Green with a tan interior and is now an excellent performer on the road thanks to an engine rebuild and some other fine tuning. Happy motoring, Bruce and Karen!
