Falling for Fall 2020 Newsletter
We’re starting to pull out all our old photos to get ready for our 120th anniversary, which officially starts next week. Monday, October 12 - 24 we will be sharing our history with you through historical displays in our store, arrangements based on historical periods, and a plant scavenger hunt in our greenhouse. Make sure you stop in to enjoy the fun!

A Cinderella love story! Amber + Chris were married on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in August at Rondele Ranch. Last year when Amber inquired she told me she had a vision of white pumpkins and a real life Cinderella feel. While Rondele is an incredible venue, the decor that Amber and her family had created + put so much into really made their wedding dreams come true.

Our night blooming orchid cactus is at it again! While our Queen of the Night only blooms at night, you can still find joy and beauty in the not-yet-bloomed buds during the day. Can you guess what color this blossom will be?

WJFW - Forth Floral celebrates 120 years in business
Today is Petal it Forward day! Every year around the time of our anniversary we like to give back to our fantastic community for supporting us. This year in honor of our 120th anniversary we wanted to do something a little different, so we worked with businesses around the area to set up pop-up shops to give out flower bunches! Take a bunch for yourself and one to give to someone else, flowers are a great way to make someone’s day!

Say hello to “Arthur’s Great White”, Forth Floral’s famous Cattleya Orchid. Brought here from Florida by Arthur and Julia Forth in the late 50’s, this orchid (while not currently blooming) has been the parent to countless propagated Cattleya orchid plants. If you’ve ever gotten a white Cattleya from Forth, chances are it came from this one!
Everyone’s working hard putting their finishing touches on everything for the Holiday Open House tomorrow! Here’s a sneak peek of a couple of the table displays. Make sure you come in to vote for your favorites and enter to win a gift certificate! November 19-28.
What with everything going on this year, there’s a pretty good chance someone will be missing from your Thanksgiving celebrations. 😢 Show them you're still thinking of them with a gorgeous fall-themed floral arrangement!
Our holiday cacti are starting to bloom just in time for Thanksgiving! The blooms should last anywhere from 2-4 months, if properly cared for. Treat your holiday cactus more like a green plant, and just let the top ⅓ of the soil dry out before watering. They also prefer bright, indirect light as direct light will likely cause the plant to be scorched. If you take care of it, (and force blooms) your holiday cactus will grant you with blossoms for years to come.

Had a great lunch with one of my best friends. She even had flowers delivered to our table. Eating in the greenhouse at Forth Floral does have its perks. Thanks so much Jennifer Ottman Sackett for the great lunch and surprise!!!
Recently, one of our designers was given the opportunity to design several terrariums for a customer. Didn’t they turn out so well?! We love when we have the opportunity to be wildly creative and have fun at the same time!
