After moving to Dallas, Lucy dearly missed her favorite Chinese specialties she had loved so much. Lucy dreamed of bringing the real thing to DFW and decided she must make it happen. She began courting her two favorite Chinese Chefs from Vancouver to come to Dallas to help her live her dream and open The Fortune House in Las Colinas. They agreed, they came and the rest is history.
Both Chefs were trained and certified in Shanghai, China before moving to Vancouver. Ren Guoqing had built a solid reputation as head Chef at the famous Shanghai River Restaurant in Richmond, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver. He specializes in creating mouth watering, artistically presented, "Shanghai Flavored" Chinese specialties that are truly culinary masterpieces. Zou Guifeng is specially trained and certified as a Pastry Chef and she brings an established reputation from The Golden Great Wall Szechuan Restaurant in Vancouver for mastering traditional Chinese dumplings. Steamed, baked or fried, she is the best.
